I purchased this about 2 months ago based on mix reviews that I read about the camera. To start with it took great photo's however within the last week things changed. If the screen tells me I have 15 photo's I can only see the 1st photo that was taken all the rest of the photo's can not be seen due to the screen being 90% black. Contacted [Big Game Treestands] and after being led around was finally able to talk with someone. They informed me that the camera had to be updated with new firmware, here comes the best part. Since my computer does not have SD card opening must now go out and purchase a card reader and install it into the computer in order for me to update my camera. I have over 5 trail camera's and this one by far is the worst. I can't imagin a new camera after just 2 months of use needing to be update, it's nothing more than a piece of junkThe customer service person was very concerned at Big Game, so I hope it is going to be resolved. I tried every solution in the manuel but no luck. I think the company is going to replace the camera...so that is fine. This camera is so easy to set up-just put in the batteries and memory card. Sometime you may have to update it with new firmware, but that isn't really a big issue. Takes great day or night pictures. Love that it comes in camo.def a great buy and a must get! awesome pictures and videos especially at nite with the blackflash! hopefully wife lets me purchase another!!!Batteries would only last five days and camera would say bad batteries. Check battery voltage and they would still be over 1.5 volts. Did not matter what kind of batteries used. Camera is useless.I first purchased the Mantra which I fell in love with it. Two weeks later, the camera crashed. Contacted the company, and of course had to send it to them. They contacted me and stated they want to give me a newer camera because mine crashed and no more in stock. They sent me this one. Worked great for a week. Then, stopped working. Contacted them and they said must need a firmware update. Sent camera back. Received back, but its end of 2013 deer season. Tested it at home and worked. Season 2014. Worked twice. Even though I have my Wildgame $60.00 cameras right next to it, taking videos and pics of deer and wild game, and it never took night videos or pics. I am so disappointed in this camera. Here were the issues I had:1. Failed to take night videos/photos even when my other two cameras from Wildgame had night videos and photos of wild game.2. Again, can't say how many times when I would check the camera and play a daytime video and "File Format Error" would come up. Even when I only used the card recommended for the camera. And formatted it according to the manual.3. I went through 4 sets of "C" batteries from September 1 - November 30. With very little photos/videos taken. My other cameras only changed twice throughout the season, using (8) AA batteries4. I placed this camera where there was known deer movement during daytime, taken with my other cameras, and nothing. The camera worked sometimes, and sometimes it was off when I checked it.the camera only worked once and after reading the other reviews I am not the only one. It's going to the trash!Super happy with my Browning game cam though!!!This camera does not spook game. I have tried several and this one works the best in my opinion. Battery life could be better. I'm buying the rechargeable battery pack to see how much life I can get out of it. It takes high quality night time photos and the detection range is almost to good. Several times I could barely see the deer it was so far away but editing takes care of that. Built in screen is handy so you don't have to carry a card reader especially during hunting season. Updating firmware isn't a big issue. Most companies don't even offer this option without returning the camera. I got pictures of a 180 class buck that one of my clients eventually harvested. With the 9mp it makes a great 8X10 to hang beside your trophy.
